Victorian based transport operator Hawk Logistics has extended its partnership with Australia’s largest hunger relief charity, Foodbank, to help deliver food to those in need.
Last year alone, Foodbank sourced the equivalent of 92 million meals – equating to a whopping 51 million kilograms of food and groceries.
Foodbank provides food and grocery relief to 2929 front-line charities and 3220 school breakfast programs.
Hawk Logistics was started in 2014 by Amrit Paul and Harmanpreet ‘Harry’ Singh.
The company began its work with Foodbank in early 2024, relying on its 400-strong truck fleet to deliver food to where it’s needed across the country. It transports everything from poultry and meat, to ice cream and dog food
Hawk Logistics Account Manager Clint Walgers has worked closely with the charity since the partnership began.
“We service Foodbank throughout all lanes in Australia via road transport,” he said.
“I began the relationship with Foodbank because I want Hawk Logistics to be able to give back to the community and help where we can.
“Times are tough for people and whatever we can do to help, we will. Hawk prides itself on service and teamwork.”
Clint says Hawk Logistics has been working with Foodbank for just over 12 months, and in that time they’ve built a great working relationship. “Daniel Keisler (Foodbank’s National Logistics Manager) and I are in constant communication about how we can help each other. Foodbank are a wonderful organisation and we are proud to be a part of that.”
